From Akron falls to Upson Park there are so many epic location settings for your photoshoot! In this blog I'll talk a little bit about each and share why I think its a great spot! If there's a location I haven't mentioned let me know!

Cold springs Cemetery

One of my favorite fall locations! Between the large mausoleums, old stone structures and graves dating back to the 1790s! Its hauntingly beautiful. During fall the colors range from yellows to deep reds and spring time there are cherry and apply trees that bloom a beautiful pink! There is something so peaceful there and just walking along its depths and hills is stunning. If your looking for a goth unique and beautiful setting this is the place for you!

Alabama Swaps in NY

My personal favorite nature trails are here.

There are some areas that are accessible to the public for walking, hiking and as long as you leave it the way you found it you can do shoots there. There are guidelines that you can't go off the trails and specific areas due to wildlife breeding which I think is actually amazing. It means you have to be creative! This location offers a range of backdrops and even better that during your photoshoot chances are a bald eagle will fly over head, a golden eagle will be swooping at fish or other large birds will be feeding. its visually very special.

Upon Park Lockport

Upon park is a small little forgotten park in lockport. its hidden away from the road in a way that really keeps it special and unique. Not a lot of people know about it but it really is a versatile location. Theres old stone walls, old stone fencing covered in moss! An old metal structure leading to the caves (only accessible with appoint/permit) the canal runs in from fit, there's a wild flower grove in the side during the spring and summer and even trees and a little forest area!

History Museum Buffalo

With white marble pillars, white marble steps and walls this setting is really gorgeous! Even better is that its near the Japanese gardens, a 1min drive away from the rose gardens and all those locations match each other perfectly! There are subtle hills covered in cherry trees that bloom beyond perfection during the spring time! This location really is highlighted during golden hour with warmth and beauty all around.

Hotel Henry Buffalo

While this location cant be photographed from the inside without appointment/permission or a booking with the staff you can take photos around its exterior! It gives me some very Harry Potter , Hogwarts vibes! During this shoot we used it for a back drop to a pride and prejudice themed shoot! Anything you can think of would look gorgeous against this setting!

Sunken Gardens Rochester

I fell in love with this location as soon as I saw it! This is free to shoot in however because of that its often very busy. The best way to be sure you have a time slot is that we actually book one, then no one can disrupt our session while we have it booked. This will allow us to really focus on all the details from the garden area itself! Theres so much to see, you'll be blown away by it!

Akron Falls

This location has a lot of special places to shoot. while the falls itself aren't always accessible or allowed near there is plenty of areas to do photoshoots at! The settings offer such a vivid backdrop during summer and fall. Imagine those fall colors surrounding you and your family in your fall family portraits!! Or how cool your Keyleth cosplay would look in this setting!

Royalton Ravine gasport

I love it here! It has a lot to offer for your photoshoot! From a water flat if we are up for a hike, beautiful trails, a wooden bridge, a stream that twists and bends! Large rocks and boulders, then there is the giant open fields and grasses, the beautiful tall wild flower and hay section, the pond itself covered in reeds and cat tails! There is something for everyone here and its on of my go to spots when I need a neutral location that can fit any vibe.

Maison Albion

If you are looking for a beautiful setting definitely check out Maison Albion! From its historically decorated rooms filled with vintage furniture to the stunning ball rooms or outdoor areas its worth every penny to book here! The owners where so accommodating and kind. They even made home made kettle corn for us! How sweet is that?

Niagara Falls NY side

If you want a pop of stunning blue hues definitely check out Niagara Falls!! With so many breath taking views its so fun we might lose track of time lol! In all seriousness this location can be worth the travel, especially during golden hour! There is nothing more magical than the way the light plays off the waterfalls!

Olcott BeachKrull Park

While this location is often over looked it really has a few hidden gems! Besides the water front itself that's wide open and beautiful there is the park itself filled with old pines, lush fields of tall grasses and little hiking trails that pull you into nature without being far from the park. Bonus points are the play ground and fun little areas that your family can enjoy after your shoot!

Sunflowers of Sunburn/orchards/other

While this location is specifically seasonal from August 1-September 5th I highly recommend it. It offers everything from thousands and thousands of sunflowers to tall willow trees, apply orchards and corn mazes/fields! It's so special because its only open such a short time but its a lot of fun for everyone! Theres activities for kids, foods/drinks and more!!

While there are other locations I haven't mentioned above I'll mention them here for now! Places like the Tonawanda Dog park, Tonawanda canal side, buffalo river works, Lake effect in lockport, the zoo, Kenan center in lockport and well a million other little places! I hope this blog can help inspire you for your photoshoot with me!

If your another photographer reading this, I know often times photographers don't share location details or information but im to a point where I am happy to help! As long as you don't destroy the location or ruin it for us all, I am happy to share some of my favorite spots!
